Terms of Use

Last updated: October 11, 2026

OpenMatIndex is a resource for finding martial arts gyms and training locations. These terms explain what to expect from the directory and how to use it responsibly. By using the website, you agree to these terms.

Directory information

Gym listings are provided for informational purposes. They may include publicly available business information and details supplied by gym owners or other contributors. Not every record has been recently verified, and information may be incomplete or outdated.

Always confirm a gym’s current location, class schedule, prices, membership terms, and visitor or drop-in policies with the gym before traveling or making a payment.

No endorsement or training advice

Listing a gym does not mean OpenMatIndex endorses it or guarantees the safety, instruction quality, qualifications, or availability of its programs. Martial arts and combat sports involve physical risk. Evaluate a facility and its instruction yourself, and seek appropriate professional advice about whether an activity is suitable for you.

Using the website

You may browse and use OpenMatIndex for personal, lawful gym discovery. Do not attempt to interfere with site security or availability, submit fraudulent claims, impersonate a gym representative, or use automated requests in a way that disrupts the service. Contact us before reusing substantial portions of the directory for another commercial database.

Submissions and gym claims

When you submit a gym, request a correction, or claim a listing, please provide accurate information and only represent yourself or an organization you are authorized to speak for. We may ask for further verification, decline a submission, remove inaccurate details, or correct an entry. Sending a request does not automatically publish a listing or grant control over an existing profile.

You allow OpenMatIndex to review and use the business information you submit for the purpose of operating, verifying, correcting, and displaying the relevant directory listing. Do not submit content you are not authorized to share.

Outside links and businesses

Links to gym websites, social accounts, and other services are offered for convenience. Those websites and businesses operate independently and may have their own terms, fees, privacy policies, and practices. We do not control their operations or transactions.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the directory useful, but do not promise uninterrupted access or that every listing will be complete or error-free. Features, listings, and these terms may change as the directory improves. Changes to these terms will be reflected by updating the date above.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, OpenMatIndex provides this directory as available and is not responsible for losses resulting from reliance on inaccurate listings, third-party services, unavailable facilities, or independent training activities. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
